Niger State Labor Condemns Borgu Mosque Attack and Calls for Tougher Security

The Organized Labor in Niger State has strongly criticized the violent attack on worshippers during Jumaat prayers in Borgu Local Government Area, describing it as deeply disturbing, unacceptable, and a serious threat to community harmony.
In an official statement in Minna, the State Chairman, Comrade Idrees AbdulKareem Lafene, expressed strong outrage over the targeted violence against individuals fulfilling their religious duties. He emphasized that violence against peaceful communities cannot be tolerated.
The union urged immediate action, proposing key measures to restore security and protect residents:
Security agencies should intensify operations, improve intelligence gathering, and quickly apprehend the suspects to ensure justice.
Authorities must strengthen security around places of worship and vulnerable neighborhoods to prevent future attacks.
Organized Labor also extends sincere condolences to the Niger State Government, Borgu Local Government Council, and the families of the victims, praying for their souls’ peace and strength for their loved ones during this difficult time.
