Gov. Bago Lauds Sultan of Sokoto at 70, Extols Peace-Building and Leadership Legacy

The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has extended warm congratulations to the 20th Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
In a tribute released to mark the milestone, Governor Bago commended the monarch for a lifetime dedicated to service, describing him as a humble, selfless, and exemplary leader whose influence extends far beyond religious duties.
Governor Bago emphasized the Sultan’s essential role in promoting national cohesion, particularly through his leadership of the Muslim Ummah and his persistent advocacy for interfaith dialogue.
He noted that the Islamic leader’s efforts in fostering harmony among different religious groups have been crucial to maintaining peace and stability across the nation.
Reflecting on the milestone, the Governor expressed gratitude for the Sultan’s continued well-being, noting that reaching the age of 70 represents a significant moment of celebration and gratitude.
”The contributions of the Sultan to national development remain invaluable,” the message noted, as Governor Bago offered prayers for God to grant the eminent leader continued good health, long life, and wisdom to lead with continued impact.
