The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2026 National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, recording an 81.24 per cent pass rate among candidates who secured five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
Announcing the release of the results on Thursday, NABTEB Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Mohammed, revealed that out of the 100,069 candidates who registered for the nationwide examinations, a total of 97,867 candidates sat for the test.
Breakdown of the performance figures indicates that 79,503 candidates (81.24%) achieved five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics. Furthermore, 89,580 candidates—representing 91.53 per cent of the total sitting candidates—obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.
The Registrar also disclosed that 24,128 candidates met all technical requirements and were officially certified as qualified craftsmen.
Describing the outcome as a significant leap forward compared to the 2025 examination performance, Mohammed attributed the progress to ongoing national policy efforts and targeted interventions aimed at expanding practical skills acquisition, boosting technical education, and fostering occupational competence among young Nigerians.
Candidates who sat for the 2026 examinations are advised to access their results via the official portal at eworld.nabteb.gov.ng using their candidate identification numbers and result checking scratch card credentials.
