EID-EL-MAULUD: GOVERNOR BAGO URGES REKINDLED PRAYERS AND EMULATION OF THE PROPHET’S VIRTUES

As Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid-El-Maulud, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago extends his warmest congratulations to the Muslim community, urging citizens to dedicate this time to fervent prayers for peace, stability, and sustainable development in Niger State and Nigeria overall.
In his commemorative message, Governor Bago emphasizes that the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) birth goes beyond festive gatherings. He notes that the occasion calls for deep spiritual reflection, supplication, and collective effort to build a safer and more prosperous society.
Highlighting the significance of the Prophet’s birth, the governor states it brought divine guidance and the revelation of the Holy Quran to humankind.
He encourages Muslims to embody these teachings daily by embracing the core virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW), including humility, compassion, integrity, sacrifice, and justice.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the state’s development, Governor Bago assures residents of his ongoing dedication to advancing key sectors.
He also urges citizens to continue praying for leaders at all levels so that they can perform their duties with wisdom, vision, and purposeful direction.
