2027 Niger Governorship: INEC Lists Malam Muhammad Nami as Official PDP Candidate
By Nma Makun.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially listed Malam Muhammad Nami as the flagbearer for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State ahead of the February 6, 2027 governorship election.
The confirmation was detailed in a official press statement released by the Muhammad Nami Media Directorate in Minna following the publication of INEC’s final list of gubernatorial candidates.
According to the directorate, the published list authenticates Nami’s candidacy under the PDP fold and puts an end to speculation regarding his legal standing, clarifying that his ticket remains unaffected by the recent Supreme Court judgment involving the electoral commission.
Reacting to the development, the media directorate expressed strong optimism about Nami’s prospects in the upcoming election, calling on party faithful and voters across the state to prepare for the polls.
Supporters were urged to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration and collection exercises to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reiterating the campaign’s core message, the directorate declared: “Nami is coming, and Niger State shall be great again.”
